Size curve generator

Equal quantities of each size is the most expensive mistake in a first order. Pick the quantity and the audience, and this returns a breakdown that adds up to exactly what you are buying — the kind of curve a blank supplier would suggest if you asked.

24 minimum. 100 is the usual first order.

The curve changes because the audience does.

Each colour needs its own curve.

The curve is a starting point, not a rule. If you know your audience — a gym skews L/XL, a school event skews M/L, a running club skews S/M — move 3–5 pieces between sizes rather than adding more. Prices shown are 2026 list prices for 230gsm US stock; extended sizes carry the mill surcharge shown. Minimum order is 100 pieces per style and colour.

How the curve is calculated

Each audience has a different peak. Unisex adults cluster at M and L; streetwear shifts the mass up to L, XL and 2XL because the fit is worn loose; women's cuts peak one size lower; kids' sizes follow school-age distribution rather than adult body size. The tool takes the shape, multiplies by your quantity, and then rounds so the total is exactly your number — not 99, not 101.

The rounding method matters more than it sounds. Rounding each size independently is how you end up one shirt short on an invoice, or paying for a piece you did not order. The tool uses largest-remainder rounding, which distributes the leftover pieces to the sizes closest to rounding up.

How to read the result

  • Smalls are the size you will regret. If the tool says 10 and you buy 25 because "it is cheaper per unit", you have converted $58 of stock into a box.
  • 2XL is not optional. It is a small share with a higher price, and it is the size that wins repeat customers among bigger buyers.
  • Two colours means two curves of half the size. It also usually means you fall back to the lower quantity tier, so the per-piece price goes up — the tool shows you the price for the total quantity, so halve it yourself when pricing each colour.
